Things I have learned this week

1. It is possible to buy an alarm clock with the voice of Stephen Fry.

2. Thanksgiving is fantastic. Yum.

3. Syd the cat has a good technique (intentional or otherwise) for getting a second breakfast.

4. A lipogram is a piece of writing which avoids using 1 (or more) letter(s).

5. There is one wild boar per square mile of the Forest of Dean.

So in your case it really is true that 'you learn something new every day', or at least every week day. I'm just wondering how the stastical distribution of wild boars in certain locations came up in conversation and who with...

Ah - we've been to the Forest to stay with friends. I was hoping to see a boar (from a safe distance) but we didn't. There were lots of nice trees and crunchy leaves, though, and we saw a very tiny pony....
